3D2GO Joins TOY CON Philippines 2015

TOY CON Philippines 2015, the much awaited, the biggest, and longest running convention for toys, anime, comics, cosplay, gaming and anything and everything related to hobbies and collections has celebrated its 14th anniversary. It’s probably the biggest pop culture event in the country as fans and toy collectors swarmed the venue for the 3-day affair held at SM Megamall Mega Trade Halls. The successful Toy Convention PH this year was filled with awesome toys, collectibles, raffle and games, cool music, various contests and a lot more of fun activities.

Of course, we wouldn’t want to miss all the fun, so 3D2Go Philippines was there to witness the 14th year festivities. This is our 2nd time joining such event under Toy Con Philippines, and we were happy to be a part of Toy Con 2015.

We had our booth (BOOTH R4) setup and had our own display of 3D printed models, particulary action figures and toys. In our booth, we featured 2 of our best 3D scanners – the Artec handheld scanner and Davids. We had several demos of these 3D scanners, inviting people passing by our booth to pose for us and have them scanned. We offered 3D scanning for free during the event. We also gave away freebies like the 3D printed COC Barbarian King key chains and discount vouchers.

We also participated in some of the event’s contests, such as the customized action figure, toy concept design, and diorama competition (We will post our entries soon). We submitted our entries to represent and show everyone how cool 3D printing is, and of course the benefits of this awesome technology. We’re glad most of the audience expressed their appreciation though we didn’t win.

Toy Con 2015 Philippines was a huge success. We can’t wait for the next event because we will be there for sure. Hats off to the Toy Con organizers and to the people running this awesome event. Congratulations!
