What Human Body Parts Can Be Produced Through 3D Printing in Medicine?
June 28, 20223D Printed Body Organ Replacement: Is It Really Safe for Humans?
June 29, 2022When we were kids, we wanted to have all the toys. We were crazy begging our parents to buy us the new G.I. Joe’s Duke action figure, or Batman, Wolverine, Spawn, etc. Those were the days when we play tirelessly all day long, the time when we considered these plastic things our own treasure.
Back then, beautiful toys were quite expensive and inaccessible for others. So what we did instead is just draw our favorite superheroes and cartoon characters on paper. And when printers came out, we made it on the computer and printed it out. But of course, having the real toy is more fulfilling. You could be happier if you were holding that six-inch action figure and play with it. But today, we can fulfill our dreams! Thanks to the awesome 3D printing technology.
Imagine being able to produce any 3D object on the computer, and be able to create a real-life action figure or any toy you desire out of that in less than an hour or less? You may have read the previous post on how 3D printing works, if not, you can check it out to learn the basic concept of this technology.
Then again, this is not impossible. Recently, during the Computer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, two companies, Makerbot and 3D Systems, showcased and introduced state-of-the-art 3D printers. The companies also demonstrated how it works, and printed out cool and amazing objects to the delight of the spectators and guests.
With this remarkable technology, everything is possible. You may print whatever object you want – your dream toys in particular!
