June 18, 2022New Discovery for 3D Bioprinting Technology
Researchers from UCLA, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, the University of Santiago de Compostela, UC San Diego, and the Sharif University of Technology have completed its study about a new multi-material for bioprinting.
The research focuses on the new discovery’s ability to print with multiple materials. With the effort of bioengineer Ali Khademhosseini, the Levi James Knight, Jr. Professor of Engineering at the university’s Samueli School of Engineering, and his collaborators, they created a new technique that does the thing.

3D Printed Tourniquets For Gaza Protest Victims
With the death toll now approximately in 60 people, Dr. Tarek Loubani of the Glia Project wants to stop increasing that number. He wants to prevent the death toll to add up so he, together with many other volunteers, entered the place with 3D printed tourniquets.
After creating the clinically approved 3D printed stethoscope, he is thinking of 3D printing more medical supplies that are highly needed in places that are hard to reach, places that are in a war, places like Gaza Strip.

First In India: 3D Printed Titanium Implant
Amit Bhanot of India, the first person to get 3D printed titanium hip bone implant in the country. Thanks to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the largest public hospital in India and Professor Rajesh Malhotra, Head of Orthopedics, Bhanot is not suffering from hip pain anymore.
Since Mr. Bhanot had already lost a large part of his pelvic bone, his first implant was failing him. Doctor Malhotra knew the instance that 3D printing technology was needed to correct it. They need something that is specially made for Mr. Bhanot and only 3D printing can give that.
They seek the help of Sanjay Kumar Pathak and his company Global Health Care, which had been responsible for creating the first 3D printed titanium vertebrae in India last year.

3D Printed Jogging Robot
Who would have thought that robots can jog? They certainly do not need it but it is a skill this robot has.
Boston Dynamics’ Atlas robot does not only jog but it can also jump to avoid logs in its way. It is almost human-like with the things it can do. The project has been on-going for years and it is definitely progressing.
